Problem: System Rebooting Solution: Although pc/OS 5.1 comes with a reboot function, this only reboots the operating system, not the computer. Sometimes, it is necessary to reboot the computer for instability or hardware reasons. There are two documented ways to do this: press Ctrl + Alt + Delete or the press the Reset button on the front of your computer. Both ways are fine, but you have to wait for all disk and hardware access to stop. Another way is by running SYSBOOT.EXE. Simply extract this to your pc/OS 5.1 directory and run from the GUI or Console whenever necessary. Warning: Save your work e.g. Macros, Documents, etc BEFORE running this program. It is not recommended to run this program in Windows. For the technical types out there. All this program does is "Nuke" the memory, wiping it clean, causing the computer to restart. A safer version is built in to pc/OS 5.2. Upgrade to pc/OS 5.2 or higher to have a safer method of system restarting. NOTE: This program is no longer needed with version 5.2 as a safer version is built in.
